The Buddhist Churches of America (BCA) is an incorporated religious organization of American Shin Buddhist affiliated with the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha denomination within the Continental United States.

The administrative Headquarters of the BCA organization are maintained at 1710 Octavia Street, in San Francisco, California.

Encompassed within the administration are the Office of the Bishop, Executive Assistant to the Bishop, BCA Office and Administrative Officer, the Endowment Foundation, a publications division, Dharma School-Youth departments, as well as a variety of other administrative and operational sections.

The Buddhist Bookstore and the Campaign BCA-The 21st Century office has moved to the Jodo Shinshu Center in Berkeley.

The BCA jurisdiction is broken down into eight geographical areas. BAY DISTRICT centered around the San Francisco Bay Area; CENTRAL DISTRICT centered around Fresno, California; COAST DISTRICT covering the Santa Clara Valley and central coastal areas of California; EASTERN DISTRICT covering the states east of the Mississippi River; NORTHERN CALIFORNIA DISTRICT centering in the Sacramento Valley and northern California area; NORTHWEST DISTRICT which includes Washington state, Oregon and Western Idaho; MOUNTAIN STATES DISTRICT covering Utah, Colorado, Eastern Colorado, Eastern Idaho and the area between the Rocky Mountains and the Mississippi River and SOUTHERN DISTRICT which includes Southern California, Arizona and Nevada.
